Team Scotland Selections – EC 2026

Dear Grand Masters, Masters, and Instructors,
The ITF European Championships will be held in Maribor, Slovenia, from 13th to 19th April 2026.
The ITF Scotland National Team Selection will take place through a selection tournament:
Date: Sunday, 16th November
Time: 10:00 AM
Venue: McGowans Black Belt Academy, Unit 3, Third Road, Blantyre Industrial Estate, Blantyre, G72 0UP
Entry Fee: £0 per competitor*
(*a National Team Fee may be imposed later by the NTM.)

The selection event will follow ITF rules.
The top two competitors in Seniors, Juniors, and Pre-Juniors will qualify for the European Championships.
All divisions will compete in a pool or re-qualification system, where time allows, except Team Sparring, which will be selected later from those competing in individual sparring.
A 2.5kg allowance will be given for sparring categories, except for Pre-Juniors (no allowance).
Weigh-in: On the morning of the event.
Competitors may register in multiple categories but must indicate their preferred category on Google Forms.
For Power and Special Technique events, competitors will be required to complete 3 of the 5 techniques at the minimum height or board requirement.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Full details regarding costs for championships, accommodation, entry fees, etc., will be made available in time from the National Team Manager.
